Do you feel you've lost your Identity when entering into 'Motherhood'?

Hello friends,

I have just written a book moderatly based on my life story as a young wife and mother of three, Secrets of a Passionate Mommy. Here is why I felt I've lost my own identity when becoming a mother- in which it nearly destroyed me! When I entered into college instead of motherhood I thought all was hopeless for my dreams and goals to be achieved. I really thought that the only way I was going to be somebody significant- I had to obtain a professional career. Well, on this journey with three young children to tend too, I realized quickly that my new found career was being a MOTHER! THrough this journey lived ...i began to harbor my bitterness and the Secret hidden anger began to rise up. When I then regained some more independence as my children grew older, I went a little crazy. Since my anger for thinking that my kids, were the ones in the way of me achieving something significant- then began to collided. Well, I reacted out and enjoyed as well the attention I was finally getting as 'Lorin' instead of 'mommy' or 'mr. bell's wife'. I then began to make horrible choices- as I decided to emotionally leave 'motherhood' in this time of rediscovering myself. To the least, I found my marriage and family life and own personal self-esteem down the drain. With the no hope in site to ever find my way back, but gratefully after a few long hard years- I embraced the understanding Power of Forgiveness and how that has changed my life completly. I have been redemeded and my marriage has been mended. But most importantly, I truly discovered- that all along I was searching for a significance in other places, when all I had to do was step back and look into my three precious children to see where that Significance really does LIE. Learning how to give up my self- sacrificially and give my Full Attention and Devotion to my children, I finally began to see that here all along is where my treausure should be placed! In that, along with other life-changing tips and secrets I've learned through Motherhood, I took my mistakes and mishaps and embarked on writing my story, Secrets of a Passionate Mommy.
