Susan M. Heim is an author and editor, specializing in parenting, multiples, and women’s issues. She is a former Senior Editor for the bestselling "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series. Susan’s books include "It’s Twins! Parent-to-Parent Advice from Infancy Through Adolescence"; "Oh, Baby! 7 Ways a Baby Will Change Your Life the First Year"; "Twice the Love: Stories of Inspiration for Families with Twins, Multiples and Singletons"; "Boosting Your Baby’s Brain Power"; and "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Twins and More." Her articles have appeared in many books, magazines and websites. Susan writes an online column for Mommies Magazine called “Loving and Living with Twins and Multiples,” as well as a blog called “Susan Heim on Parenting” at www.susanheim.blogspot.com. She is an expert on twins and multiples for AllExperts.com and ParentsConnect.com, and a parenting expert for SelfGrowth.com. Susan is the founder of TwinsTalk, a website where parents share tips and advice about raising twins and multiples. She is a member of the National Association of Women Writers and the Southeastern Writers Association. Susan is the married mother of four sons—two teenagers and twin preschoolers.

What are your beliefs about Motherhood?

I believe that we should listen to our instincts when it comes to our children. I believe we can learn a lot from each other. And I believe that Motherhood is awesome!

What are your beliefs about Life?

I believe that we are in control of our own destiny and happiness. We get more of what we put out. A positive outlook leads to a happier life. Whining and complaining only makes us more miserable.
